Erik Nelson

Erik Nelson is a former US Navy ordnance specialist and a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he earned both a BA and an MA in History. He was a founding board member of the Central Virginia Battlefields Trust and during his 15-year tenure helped to preserve critical battlefield terrain at Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, and the Wilderness. As a Fredericksburg city planner for more than 30 years he became intimately familiar with the hidden landscape related to the Second Battle of Fredericksburg.
